Bruxellensis Reserva is a wild, characterful beer from the heart of Brussels. Brewed with the iconic Brettanomyces bruxellensis yeast from Saint-Gilles, it matured for months in old red wine barrels. The barrel aging enriches the beer with aromas of wild strawberry, blackberry, blueberry and candied cherry, interwoven with subtle wood tones. The aroma is fruity and spicy, with hints of old leather and wet oak. In the mouth: a fresh acidity, light tannins and a wine-like character, without losing the sparkling liveliness of beer. The dry, elegant aftertaste is reminiscent of a red natural wine. Complex, but surprisingly drinkable.
