More about Guinness 33Cl

So, how did this continental brew come to life? Well, John Martin was an English brewer living in Belgium who shared Arthur's thirst for discovery and adventure. In 1944 he ventured through the doors of St. James's Gate with a request to create a truly Irish stout with a brighter punch and sweeter aftertaste to suit the tastes of his Belgian friends.
The Guinness brewers, who never turn down a challenge, of course obliged and that's what he got. The black gold of an adventurer.
So the next time you surrender, close your eyes and think about… Belgium.
John Martin has recreated the Irish Guinness into a stout with a pleasant warm mouthfeel. First you get aromas of roasted malt, butterscotch and blackcurrant. You really taste hints of licorice, chocolate, coffee and dark fruit. Especially the coffee flavor prevails. Finally, you will also find a little laurel in the aftertaste.

John Martin is a Belgian company active in the beverage trade and beer brewing. It was founded in Antwerp in 1909 by John Martin (1886-1966), born in Newmarket, England. The current manager, Anthony Martin, is his grandson.

The company specialized in importing British and Irish beers (Guinness, Bass, Gordon Scotch Ale), often in a special version for the Belgian market. In addition, the production of lemonades (particularly Schweppes, under license) was started in Genval. The castle on Lake Genval, where the lemonade factory was located until 1981, was later transformed into the five-star Château du Lac. It was the cradle of the Martin's Hotels hotel group, led by another of the founder's grandsons, John C. Martin.

In 1993, the Timmermans lambic brewery from Itterbeek was taken over. In 2015, John Martin opened a microbrewery in the Mont-Saint-Jean farm near the battlefield of the Battle of Waterloo. In 2016, the Bourgogne des Flandres brewery was opened in the center of Bruges. Since then, the company has had three brewing locations. In addition, a number of beers, including those of the British type, are produced at other breweries.

Our web shop, Belgian Beer Factory, also offers a matching glass, together with all sorts of related products. Such as gifts, kegs, gadgets and accessories and our box deals of course.

Guinness 33Cl is also quite popular for food pairing. Did you know that this brew is also popular during fall and Christmas. In addition to Guinness 33Cl, Belgian Beer Factory offers 1400 Belgian beers and similar products.

Belgian Beer Factory has been sending packages to end consumers all over Europe for more than 8 years. We pay a lot of attention to a wide range, low prices and low shipping costs. This also applies to this product.

Cheers and enjoy your Guinness 33Cl
